True Realm, April 2009

The Feast... good food, great company, and lots of specualtion bout what Jeff had in store for us over the next couple days!
A group of 4 I ran thru the Retro with, and the ghoul we slaughtered in the first room. (I suck at remembering names. However, Don has kindly provided them for me. They are, from left to right, Randy (Lutjens), Don (Rients), me, and Scott (Blair).
It was fun running with you though!)
This is our friend Linda, captured by the mindflayer. You might not remember seeing her, but a lot of people remember hearing her: that ear-piearcing, agonized wail which echoed through the entire dungeon came from this sweet, innocent-looking lady ; )
The Dungeon Delvers Anonymous defeat the beautiful Demon, in Director's Cut.
A better pic of the demon, under UV lights. The change between angel and demon was quite dramatic and a very cool effect!
The very cool chest in the treasure room, in Retro. The DDA never actually triggered the mimic encounter, but we had fun playing with the monster/actor in the box after solving the room.
One of my favorite runs on the weekend was with a group who invited me to join them as their Barbarian. (They were very forgiving when Grog decided to attack the paladin who had been captured by the mindflayer!) I took a few other pics on our run through the dungeon, this is the only one which turned out well, tho.
The weather turned stormy on the way back home. The flight from St. Louis was delayed a little, and the air was choppy. The connection in Chicago O'Hare was even worse: the flight was delayed over 4 hrs, as de-icing crews had to move down the gates spraying planes with that yellow de-icer stuff, so they wouldn't be covered with freezing rain at take-off.
